Who We Are

HealthPickHub is a health supplement review platform with a single mission: help you cut through the noise and find products genuinely worth buying.

The supplement market is flooded with exaggerated marketing claims, and most online “recommendations” are undisclosed ads or conflict-of-interest reviews. We believe consumers deserve objective, science-based comparisons — so that’s what we build.

About the Author

I’m a software engineer based in Taiwan with a personal interest in health supplement research. After growing frustrated with the low quality of most online supplement “recommendations” — mostly undisclosed ads or shallow listicles — I built this site to do things differently.

HealthPickHub is a solo project I maintain outside of work. Every article involves reviewing PubMed literature and cross-referencing third-party testing sources like NSF and ConsumerLab. It’s not a media company, so updates are slower — but every recommendation is genuinely researched before it goes up.

Our Review Criteria

Every recommended product is evaluated across six dimensions:

DimensionWhat We Assess
Ingredient QualityRaw material sourcing (Albion, Kaneka, Life’s OMEGA, etc.), bioavailable forms (e.g. methylcobalamin vs cyanocobalamin)
Dosage AppropriatenessAlignment with NIH DRI recommendations or clinically studied effective doses
Third-Party CertificationIndependent testing by NSF, USP, IFOS, Informed Sport, or ConsumerLab
SafetyHeavy metal, contaminant, and adulteration risk assessment
TransparencyWhether brands publish complete ingredient labels and lab reports
ValueCost per unit of absorbed active ingredient (not just label weight)

Research Methodology

Our Sources

  • Academic literature: PubMed, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar (priority given to systematic reviews and RCTs)
  • Regulatory references: NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, FDA guidance documents
  • Independent testing: ConsumerLab.com, NSF International, Labdoor test results
  • Product data: Brand official sites, retailer listings, and complete certificate of analysis documents

Update Policy

The supplement market evolves constantly. We commit to:

  • Reviewing every recommendation article at least once every 12 months
  • Updating immediately when major new research is published or formulas change
  • The Last Updated date on each article reflects an actual content review, not just a formatting change

Content Limitations

All content on this site is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Supplement effects vary significantly based on individual health status, medications, and lifestyle.

Please consult a healthcare provider before starting any supplement if you:

  • Take prescription medications (interaction risk)
  • Have chronic conditions (kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes)
